Purim is the noisiest, most fun holiday on the Jewish calendar. But it’s also a holiday of commemorating miracles. In the megillah we read about the many miracles that the Jews witnessed. At Yad Ephraim we’re busy preparing our own little miracle.

Every year on Purim, our volunteers visit hospitalized patients and bring them more than just the usual dinner. Each patient also gets a beautiful mishloach manos package, a personalized reminder that they, too, are part of the Purim festivities.

In keeping with the spirit of the day, our wonderful volunteers often dress up in amusing costumes. The smiles and laughter that greet the volunteers when they enter a patient’s room bring a refreshing glow to the space.

On Purim, as on all other holidays, our volunteers make sure the patients’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs are met. From the reading of the megillah for patients, the providing of wholesome meals, the handing out of personalized mishloach manos, Yad Ephraim does it all.

You, too, can be a part of this amazing Purim enterprise. Help us fund the various features, and you will share in the special mitzvah. Click here to support the Purim program; bring a smile to a sufferer’s face.
